Winter Vacation Safety Reminder
Dear Students,
As winter vacation approaches, to ensure everyone has a safe, healthy, fulfilling, and pleasant holiday, we hereby warmly remind you of the following safety precautions. Please read them carefully and make relevant preparations.
I. General Safety: Keep It in Mind at All Times
Whether you choose to stay on campus, travel within China, or return to your home country to reunite with your family, always prioritize personal safety. Enhance your self-protection awareness and avoid areas with potential safety risks or those unsuitable for traveling alone—especially remote, undeveloped, or areas with complex public security conditions. When traveling at night, try to go in groups, keep your communication devices accessible, and promptly inform your family, friends, or teachers of your travel updates.
II. Health Protection: Never Let Your Guard Down
Winter is a high-incidence period for respiratory infectious diseases. Please pay attention to personal hygiene: wash your hands frequently, ventilate your living spaces regularly, and wear masks scientifically in crowded public places or those with poor air circulation. Maintain a healthy schedule, a balanced diet, and moderate exercise to boost your immunity. If you experience physical discomfort such as fever or cough, seek medical attention promptly and rest and receive treatment as advised by doctors.
III. Travel Safety: Make Thorough Plans
For students planning to travel, be sure to obtain information about the destination's weather, transportation, and public security through official channels in advance and plan your route reasonably. Book transportation tickets and accommodation via official platforms or reliable channels to guard against fraud. Abide by traffic rules, take transportation with legal operating qualifications, and do not ride unlicensed "black cabs." Keep your important documents (such as passports and student IDs) and personal belongings safe. It is recommended to keep copies or electronic scans for backup.
IV. Property and Information Security: Stay Alert
Properly safeguard your cash, bank cards, and valuables. Do not store large amounts of cash in dormitories, and ensure doors and windows are locked when leaving your residence. Be vigilant against various telecom and online frauds: do not easily disclose sensitive information (such as ID numbers, bank account details, or passwords); do not trust unsolicited calls, text messages, or online links; and guard against scams impersonating embassy staff, school personnel, or public security, procuratorial, and judicial officials, as well as "high-return" investment frauds. Consume rationally and guard against harmful online lending.
V. Campus and Accommodation Safety: Abide by Rules
Students staying on campus must strictly comply with the school's vacation management regulations. Pay attention to electricity and water safety in dormitories: do not use illegal electrical appliances or pull private wires; turn off the power when leaving the room to prevent fires. Keep dormitories clean and tidy, and do not allow non-residents to stay overnight. Cooperate with management when entering or exiting dormitory buildings and carry valid documents. Reasonably plan your study and life during the vacation and maintain contact with your family, teachers, and friends.
VI. Emergency Contacts: Keep Channels Smooth
Please be sure to save the following contact information:
School's International Student Office: 010-65976331
Campus Alarm Number: 010-65976110
Local Emergency Numbers: Public Security (110), Fire (119), Emergency Medical Services (120)
In case of emergency or need for assistance, stay calm, call the corresponding emergency number promptly for help, and maintain contact with the school.
No matter where you are, safety is the cornerstone of a happy vacation. We hope all students will enhance their safety awareness, improve their prevention capabilities, and take good care of themselves.
Wish you a safe, healthy, and happy winter vacation!
